The 1997 Asian financial crisis – how the Thai Baht collapsed in one minute

Over 20 years ago, the Bank of Thailand ran out of US dollar reserves needed to support a fixed exchange rate of 25 Thai Baht to the US dollar. The result was a collapse of the Thai currency that led to a credit crisis that spread throughout Asia in the late 1990s. In this one minute video, Tariq Dennison takes a minute in front of the Bank of Thailand to explain why Southeast Asian banks now hold more capital but no longer try and peg their currencies to a fixed exchange rate.

How to exchange and withdraw Thai Bahts in Thailand? (ATM, cards, fees, currency exchanges)

Don’t be lazy and check 34 currency exchanges, because there might be huge difference between the exchange rates and fees they are offering.
To withdraw money from your credit card in Thailand might be expensive and consists of 3 parts: fixed fee for local ATM, your card’s fixed fee and your card’s % from the amount.
Tips:
1) For daily goods in shopping centers you can pay with your credit/debit card;
2) For cash is better to exchange in currency exchanges, just find the best currency exchange first;
3) Withdraw from ATMs only when you need more money or you don’t have US dollars or other foreign currency with you.
