I went to the store to check out and compare the pdf experience on the nexus 7 and the ipads. When i opened monster manuals and other rpg pdf files I was having a lot of problems with the screen taking about 5 seconds or more to become legible when i scrolled from page to page. Is that just because i was using the default pdf reader and need to get a better pdf app, or do you have the same problem with your nexus 7? I'm just worried about the quality of the pdf being that i read a lot of them. Do you find that the page takes a while to sharpen and crisp up the image after scrolling in the nexus? Thanks
Zooming in on a document show the resolution of the document, not the tablet.
What a bad test. You didn`t even try to scroll down 50 pages in the DnD book, to see how long time you need to wait before it loads.
Why doesn't the app have options? on my phone, it has night mode, reflow and other stuff. What gives?
How could i load existing PDF books from my own PC or Flash drive?

we didnt know what this had to do with the first part. yes we have indeed done reading on the ereader with PDF's
you dont HAVE to zoom. sometimes it just helps though . 🙂

Not so reliable with IOS7 eh…
If you can only show one PDF reader, choose the best one. Try mantano out , nothing comes even close. It decimates the pdf experience on the ipad.
yes, there are HUNDREDS of applications (at least hundreds) that will read PDF's and we cant show them all. the best we can do is show at least one 🙁

Use officesuite to read PDF .. It's much faster than any reader in the market

PROS:
Apple = Reliable
Windows = Great free computer programs (excel, word, powerpoint etc.)
Android = Customizable and lots of free content
CONS:
Apple = Restrictive and lost of apps cost money
Windows = Surace (the tablet you specifically inquired about) overpriced like crazy
Android = lots of crashes and unstable OS
i know you are asking about the PDF books but buying these devices is an investment and you need to know more than what is just good at reading PDF's cause they ALL can do that
I can't decide what device to get, I'm between an iPad mini or standard size, surface pro or nexus 7. My main purpose is that i have PDF books to read and on my phone i have zoom all the time. Surface will be awesome but i think it does not last as much and is a bit heavy. I wonder if i have zoom on a N7, mini, or ipad? if you want i can send you a couple pages for a comparison. thank you

Are you able to read the text at normal zoom level in the newspaper? You can't really tell by a 720p video.

Can you read the text without zooming ? I want to buy Nexus 7 mostly for reading textbooks and they come in pdf. I have a pretty good eyesight.

yeah, I'm kind of sick of people throwing around benchmarks like its a definitive thing, and android lovers are the most sensitive people I have ever come across on the internet. Either way I can clearly see it lagging and nobody is going to convince me otherwise, can't wait to get the iPad 5 next month!
is a problem of a bug in the os and anather from the application "currents".
In the application disable live notification and should be much better .
For the os problem should be fix very soon. Sorry for my eaglish but i hope you can understand
