Microsoft Project Moca Preview | First Look | (aka Outlook Spaces)
I'm struggling to think of use cases. Anyone care to share some?
Thanks for this. It's now released to outlook for everyone to use and I have to say it's what I've been looking for as I use sticky notes and to do.
How do you enable this? I'm not IT, just a basic user. Your links weren't very forthcoming and like other explanations of the web, assume I already have some IT knowledge and seem to miss out few steps. I would love to integrate this into my workflow
I've been asking Microsoft to make something like this for years!
I haven’t tried it yet, but I absolutely love the ability to drag an email into a bucket or a task list. What I would love to see is the ability to drag in a grouped conversation, so that all new emails that are part of that conversation remain in that bucket. I’m gonna try to play around with it and see if I can get it to work like this. Another thing would be the ability to open your email as a filtered list based on a button in that bucket, such that you click on the link and it automatically filters your inbox by email domains, people, and or keywords. So many ideas, but I’m glad to see Microsoft doing something like this
The stronger feature, if it gets fully implemented as I would see it, is the feature of "collecting" all information of all the 365 Apps in the "activity bar". So it is easy too collect them and put them into the necessary space. Then I don't need to go and look each thing where I have saved what…that would be the strongest feature.
Looks cool, thank you for sharing. I just wish Microsoft would perfect all, the little bugs that their « old » software has before creating new ones…
MoCA people might not like MSFT calling it Moca might be a problem
This is what OneNote is for, gee wiz. Yet another productivity app that I'll have to look at and manage.
Eww, Edge
So this is what Wunderlist is going to be now.
So it's trello but MS branded?
Ahh like OneNote and Teams and Planner and To Do put together. Just when i was done learning each of them -I’m over it Microsoft! I’m just going to use basic Outlook+Teams+OneNote and try remain oldschool as possible, way too many new features and environments. You’d get better adoption if you stuck to developing one thing!
Let me just update my Trello to remind me to look into why this looks so familiar.
I like what I’m seeing … but it’s a) hidden away and b) not well integrated with existing productivity tools. This would be FANTASTIC if you could add it as a tab in a Team. Or if it was integrated with desktop Outlook somehow. I suppose desktop Outlook is being used less and less though. I stick with it because it gives me more options for sorting my messages than the web version. But if I could use this with my work account, I could change my workflow really quickly and efficiently. Love that it integrates with ToDo as well. Looks promising!
Im very confused on Microsoft's design language. In this project/beta, It looks and feels like android's material design. Microsoft, please make your design language consistent with your other products. Please..
Better use Notion! Much more features even in the free tier.
Google Wave
What a Trello rip off
So it is basically Notion
There is something similar to this available in Teams, though not as full featured as this.
Beautiful design 😍
seems to be Planner for private use, not bad.
Onenote on steroids
bad trello copy.
Odd if "personal" yet so dependent on corporate environments compared to say an independent freelancer, using Outlook at least as an email client and say OneNote as their general "notes" client… … but as a number observe below – "yet more overlapping confusion" with many tools doing say 60% of what the next one does : ))))
I never thought I’d say this about something made by MS, but, I absolutely love the design!
I am a oneNote user and struggle to use oneNote web on Linux as it doesn't have a pan tool. I see you using keyboard shortcuts. I'll definitely use this over one Note Web
I like this! Thank you for getting to check it out! I think it will pay off for Microsoft to start updating their legacy apps around Project Moca and To Do app. Outlook desktop is being replaced by all the other web tools such as Trello, Click Up, Asana, etc.
It's really similar to NOTION only to 365
Hate it. Yet another stupid system I’d have to nurture and cultivate instead of actually doing something meaningful. No amount of making lists and moving things around gets tasks done.
Bottom line. Who on Earth has the attention for all these apps? I don’t; and if you do, you can’t be that busy – it really is as simple as that.
Get Trello instead… 🤔🤷🏻♂️
@Collaboration I got lost in the instructions. This is applicable to business 365 right? Could you please help, I would love to try it out.
Thanks for the amazing content!
Great vid, thanks
I'm still here waiting for Visio and Project 365
Excellent find. I thought I pick up most MS innovations but nowadays, there is so much to easily get lost. Thanks you guys like you, it's easier to keep up and stay informed.
