  1. Nice add-in, but I was getting a little confused at the end. You kept switching back and forth between Outlook app on the desktop and outlook.com. I can assume FindTime works for the meeting organizer on the webpage as well as the desktop app?

  2. Great i have tried it works fine and comfortable to others too, how to edit the meeting send, since i have mistake choose the date, later want to edit, i dont have any clue

  3. I guess all this could in theory be done with Outlook Desktop (Scheduling Assistant + Voting/Polls) but this addin does it a lot nicer. And free too. Great introduction to a very useful addin.

  4. I tried to use Findtime a few weeks ago. It was a nightmare. Maybe partly because I had never used it before, but it has (for me) some serious flaws. The participants in the meeting came from private industry, research institutes, universities in Europe and USA. Here are the problems I experienced:
    1. It was not possible for me to propose times where I already had appointments. This is a major flaw. I have a rather busy calendar, but it is an essential requirement for such tools that I am able to give priority to more important meetings over less important meetings without having to delete existing meetings. In other words: this was an important meeting. It must be possible to propose meeting times which are in conflict with existing appointments, and give me the possibility to cancel less important meetings if the voting ends up with a best time slot which conflicts with those less important meetings.
    2. Participants from one university were not able to vote in the polling. Their hypothesis was that perhaps there was a problem with them running Exchange Server in the cloud. We were never able to figure out the reason.
    3. Later on, people from said university found out that they could vote in the iPhone Outlook app. OK.
    4. What happened next, turned out to be a total disaster: Outlook now started to decide on the meeting time slot as people voted in the smart phone apps (in other words: even though I had called for the voting, Outlook stole control of deciding when the meeting should take place). And it seemed like Outlook decided on separate meetings for each voter. In the end, Outlook on my computer had set up 7 parallel meetings on the same day and time slot.

In the end, I gave up, and switched to Doodle. After that, I've switched to yet another similar tool which is free ("Terminplan").

I like Outlook in general, but the above experience made me freak out. Perhaps the problems I had could have been solved with some user choices. If so, the default choices are horrible.

  5. Does this have any caveats in regard to delegates (of the calendar)? For example, Is it wise for the EA to the CEO to start using this on the CEOs (delegated) calendar?
