Davey, you sure know your stuff but, very sadly, you're not a teacher! Put yourself into the mind of the student who just cant go as fast as you or digest what you suggest 'cos you go too fast!
Outlook is better software for this
Can u transfer email between accounts
This has change alot 7 years later
I downloaded Thunderbird and I can't even begin to start using it. The first step that I need to do is import all my emails. There are only two options!!!!!!!! what the bleep a da bleep. Importing emails has going to be the highest priority for an email client. I stopped watching this because importing emails wasn't the first thing you did.
Is there anyway I can condense the pane that have different columns for date, subject, from etc rather than having them in separate columns?
You sound like Diego the puppet from Awkward puppet, no offence. lol
i do not reseve any email with thunder brid plz help me
how to recall a message
I couldn't help but notice that you regularly said "e-mail" when you meant "e-mail address" or "e-mail account".
Also, I tried Thunderbird and noticed separate folders for my accounts. I was hoping to have a single set of folders for all my e-mail accounts. Is that possible in Thunderbird?
My thunderbird keeps running. I have two gmail accounts on it. Can you make it only show one account at a time? I have also changed the time it checks them but not helping. Please help.
Thanks for the great tutorial! I still have one problem in that Thunderbird does not see my saved emails/folders from Godaddy/Outlook. Is there a setting for this?
Great tutorial mate : ) Thanks!
English Doc.
Maybe you could solve the "server imap.gmail.com" has disconnected, this is a long-standing problem with Thunderbird which disconnects without cause
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks Davey. Brief and complete. Bravo
Try having a bit of background music in your videos. Good content though.
Sept 30, 2020 In the recent TB in Server Settings there is an Advanced button that takes you to a page that contains 2 items I don't know what they are for: IMAP server directory-following that is a space to type in, what I don't know. And the other item I am clueless on is: Maximum number of server connections to cache (there is a counter after that that i think goes up to 99) Thanks if you can help. GG
Oh yeah… you never have to worry about spending a dime on it. But you surelly is willing to continue paying MS for Windows. Hum… interesting concept.
Thanks bro…nice tutorial
How do I view together inbox and sent emails date wise at once place like a trail ???

I tried to login into my Outlook account and it dosen't work. Please help. (I put my password, name and e-mail correctly and still dosen't work)
Thank you. Even though this tutorial is 7 years old, there's still a lot of useful stuff in it. 🙂
Quite Comprehensive. Thank you very much
Looks confusing …still seem to end up with junk adverts …playstaions and funeral plans …also a problem overlooked is 2 computers are needed one to play your long intrecate instructions and another to configure Thunderbird on …that's why instruction books are usefull
Thanks, it's still relevant!
Great review, thanks!
I like Thunderbirds, but its interface is not as user-friendly as other email clients out there. Here is a great review of alternatives in case somebody is interested in: https://www.getmailbird.com/the-best-mozilla-thunderbird-alternatives-for-windows/
Good luck!
Thank you for your great explanation. Mark
Thank you so much for explaining, but i have a question. I want to type my existing email in to set up what is @protonmail.com Then is says unfortunately : Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account. I really typt in the right account and password. Why this is happening ?
Strange Tutorial I must say…
Zero to non explanation of settings. This Is Not A Tutorial.
"Junk settings, just leave this checked to be save" Really!!! That is some in dept explanation!
"Disk Space", "…" Zero explanation
"Just make sure everything is Good" Really!!! how do viewers know that when you don't explain anything?
"I just click Don't delete any messages" So…?
Thank you ! I’ve been trying to get out of Outlook for some time and you have just saved me!
You need to learn how to video tape clearly because I can't see a thing. It is all blury. Waste of time.
