  1. Beautiful technique, great teaching spirit, inspirational.
I am interested in the difference to the Taekwondo I studied. A lot of similarities, but
with Taekwondo the side kick starts with the knee high on the outside, and then the hips twist and push forward, so the kick comes straight in powerfully. Then there's the
back kick which has two versions, stright back and back side. This is very useful as a counter,
although a bit dangerous as you can cahch someone as they are moving in (that's the idea!)
but without so much control. The hook kick is a bit different. Then there are two crescent kicks, with leg basicall straight, from inside and outside. These can be devastating as they can come down on the collarbone. My teachers were young brothers (like this guy in the video) from Thailand, with a Korean dad. They were just incredible. Beautiful form.
I got up to blue belt (one before brown) and switched to Aikido, because of limited time I had to choose and ultimately Aikido was much better for me, but I loved both. Decades later, with COVID, I have taken up my basic TaeKwonDo punching exercises again to stay a bit in shape- you can do those in an apartment, w/o a partner or class!

  2. Thanks. I'm 46 years old, and interested in doing karate. I join a karate club for a year now. My body is not that flexible I can't kick that high. I watched lots of your videos I like them

  3. when you've been going to karate for a few months and they say you got talent for kumite so they set u up with their national champion and somehow u survive and score quite a lot BUT now they want you to go to championships from next year and unfortunately you get nervous and anxious very fast in such situations:""")

  4. Hello this is Rawan from Jordan and I really like your channel. It is very helpful.
