For all those who have had this issue I would recommend leaving GMX and use Aol. I have never got GMX working in any mail client apart from my smartphone.
Hi, I followed your setup instructions and all went well until my Account Settings Test got to Outgoing mail server and the Error message came back as follows:
Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
I am with TELSTRA – Windows 7 – OUTLOOK 2010 if that make any difference
