It’s 6:34 am and this morning’s yoga is expansively spiraling through the aether… which reminds me of my first ever shamanic journey (circa 2011)
I was face up on the floor, in a circle of 20 people doing the same. Friends, strangers who would become friends, and friends who would pass away into the next life
My etheric body arose from the ground and headed towards the door
I walked outside and across the wrap around porch, down the stairs, and through the yard until I reached the barn
That’s where the portal was
Our instruction was to walk through a door, enter the SHAMANIC UNDERWORLD, and contact our spirit animal
So I opened the hatch and slipped into a wormhole
It moved fast

Past planets, nebula’s birthing stars, black holes, white holes… big bangs were occurring continuously… it was like I was standing outside of a cosmic rave and I could feel the base

Then I fell through a vast ceiling that stretched on endlessly like the sky. It appeared as a grid.
Ohmmmmm
I was caught in midair by a very cartoonlike dinosaur. Definitely a child. Playful. Bright. Squishy.
I wasn’t sure how it could fly… but it could
\”This is my Spirit Animal?\” were the words that fell out of my mouth in a disappointed slant
I rode for a while
\”Is this Fn Barney?… wtf?… my Spirit Animal is Barney…..?\”
Whooooooosh
And suddenly I was on a giant black bat
\”Ok, that makes more sense\”
Side Story: Several years before this ceremony (like…2010) I went to a music festival. I volunteered and adjusted people. Outside. Bare feet. In nature. Many significant events occurred there…
My first non medicinal assisted OOB
Got bit by a tic
Connection with the spirit who guides my intuitive abilities
all stories for another time
When I got home, waiting in my room… was a bat. His wing was stuck underneath my right work shoe (right meaning masculine, giving). I trapped him and brought him outside. When I released him from the bucket he paused for a long moment. He finally took off and flew around me 3 times. I could feel his sonar bouncing off my head (I was a bit more sensitive up there at the time bc I still had hair)
Meaning?
Bat is the keeper of the shamanic rebirth. Its medicine symbolizes a dive into the underworld, death. and rebirth with sacred knowledge of medicine
My work was initiated into the shamanic field (hence the shoe)

Very Recently (2021) I was guiding someone through their first journey. Even when holding the drum there is opportunity to jump into the underworld and do some traveling. I entered the Underworld and met with bat. We headed to our shamanic garden where I grow spirit medicine… for all of you.
I asked the bat to bring me to the place where the person on the table was journeying. We entered a vortex. Our atoms were shredded into a trillion pieces. And when we emerged… the bat was pure bright white
Kind of like when Gandolf did battle with the Balrog and died, but not really
Flash Forward Over
Back To Black Bat Journey
So the childlike dinosaur turns into a black bat. He flies up towards the grid sky and I am shown an endless view of the Underworld. A vast sparkling sea. Jungles stretching far into the distance. Purple Mountains with perilous peaks and waterfalls that fill magical pools below which flow into rivers that snake through the jungle until reaching the sparkling sea.
Spirit. Was. Everywhere.
We swoop down and land on the shore
I am greeted by hawk, fox, rooster, ant, crow, dragonfly, squirrel
The crowd of spirits split creating a path that lead towards a coconut tree. I walked towards the tree and met a tiny little snail. He stood upright, wore a top hot and a monocle. He was smoking a pipe.
He said \”go deeper\”
Suddenly the tree sucked me in and I fell into a wormhole. I glanced back at the crowd of spirit animals whose shapes were getting smaller… they were all waving, smiling, and saying \”bye bye\”
Wormholing
shuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuush
back at the portal. cross the threshold. barn, yard, porch, inside
EYES OPEN
And the only vehicle used to induce this shamanic trance…
was a drum
…
You see… going on a shamanic journey doesn’t require medicine
The medicine is already inside of you
And once you enter the portal, the medicine awakens
And you cocreate the visions
The rest just come to you
from a place beyond your imagination
that is the Shamanic Underworld
