In visual terms the G63 4×4² CONVERSION raises no doubts as to its passion. The voluminous tyres, the huge distance to the ground, the height of nearly 2.25 metres with a width of virtually 2.10 metres and the clear, straight design command respect right from the first glance. Further highlights: the trim with the integral LED light strips above the windscreen and the elaborate partially painted wheelarch flarings – both in fine carbon fibre – plus the front bumper on the G 63 AMG.
In offroad terrain the GClass remains an unrivaled legend. It masters the key offroad disciplines effortlessly and with impressive results, eg slope climbing ability, ground clearance, wading depth, angle of approach / departure and lateral slopes. Traction at just one wheel is sufficient to drive the vehicle forward. This is ensured by the interaction between allwheel drive, differential locks, a laddertype frame plus engaging lowrange gearbox. The harmonious tuning of the suspension and damping additionally delivers optimum ride comfort in even the most demanding of driving conditions.
AMG 4.0liter V8 biturbo engine
The 4.0liter V8 engine from MercedesAMG boasts explosive power delivery combined with very finely controllable power output. The twinscroll turbochargers are positioned between the cylinder heads (\”hot inside V\”) for better response. Cylinder shutoff under partial load ensures even greater efficiency.
